Eyebrow lift – lift and rejuvenate your face with natural results
Eyebrow lift
An eyebrow lift lifts the skin and gives a more alert expression by reducing sagging in the upper part of the face. The procedure can be performed with very small scars and gives a natural lift.
Practical information
An eyebrow lift or forehead lift is suitable for those who have heavy eyebrows or loose skin on the forehead. The treatment is often performed to create a more alert and balanced facial expression.
What is an eyebrow lift/brow lift?
An eyebrow lift or forehead lift is used to lift and tighten the skin in the upper part of the face.
This is a simpler form of forehead lift, and is particularly suitable when you want a more alert appearance without undergoing major surgery.
How is the operation performed?
In women, the incision is usually made just above the hairline, where the surgeon lifts the outer part of the eyebrow (temporal brow lift).
In men, skin just above the eyebrow is often removed to avoid visible scars in the hairline.
The result is a natural lift that opens up the eyes and gives a fresher expression.
Anesthesia
Eyebrow lifts/forehead lifts are usually performed under local anesthesia, possibly with light sedation.
The surgeon will assess whether you need a forehead lift if you have excess skin.
Results and scars
The scars are small and discreetly placed in the hairline or just above the eyebrow.
The results are visible immediately, but become more natural after 2–3 weeks when the swelling subsides.
Avoid blood-thinning medication and smoking/chewing tobacco 1–2 weeks before surgery.
The surgeon makes an individual assessment of the skin, facial muscles, and desired degree of lifting.
The procedure usually takes 1–2 hours and is performed under local anesthesia with light sedation if necessary.
You can go home the same day.
Swelling and slight bruising are common during the first few days.
You should sleep with your head elevated and avoid strenuous activity for 1 week.
