What is Fotona Carbon Peel, also known as Hollywood Peel?
Carbon Peel is an exfoliating laser treatment that immediately improves the appearance of the skin, giving it a smoother surface and a fantastic glow. The treatment uses a unique combination of a liquid charcoal mask (carbon mask) and Fotona ND:YAG Q-switched laser technology.
How does the treatment work?
The liquid carbon mask is applied to the skin and penetrates the pores. When the laser then fires short, high-intensity pulses (Q-switched), the energy is absorbed by the carbon particles.
- Exfoliation: The carbon particles evaporate immediately, removing dead skin cells, oil, and impurities from the pores and skin surface. This provides deep cleansing and gentle exfoliation.

Who cannot undergo treatment?
The treatment is not recommended for pregnant or breastfeeding women. People taking isotretinoin (Roaccutane) must wait at least six months after completing the course of treatment before undergoing the treatment. People with severe acne or open wounds in the treatment area must wait until the skin has healed.
