In this post Fotona 4D/5D we will take a step-by-step look Fotona 4D/5D

What does 4D/5D mean?

The reason it is called 4D/5D is that we go through different stages in the treatment.

Fotona 4D/5D a non-surgical treatment with minimal downtime. We combine two types of laser, which penetrate the skin at different wavelengths.

We start with a consultation

First, we will have a consultation to find out what your expectations are. Together, we will draw up a plan for treatment that suits you and your goals.

If you are looking for a treatment that tightens the skin and improves its surface texture, then Fotona 4D/5D definitely the right choice for you.

Fotona 4D/5D – step by step

Step 1

We first use ER: YAG to strengthen the mucous membranes on the inside of the cheeks. This tightens the lines from the inside.

Step 2

For the next step, we use the same handpiece with a lower energy setting. You will now have a cooler that will reduce discomfort. This step will stimulate collagen and tighten the connective tissue in the skin. It can be used directly on lines on the nasolabial folds, forehead, neck, and around the eyes. This step is safe to use on the eyes.

Steps 3 and 4

This part is called tissue tightening, and we use something called Nd:Yag. This goes deeper into the tissue and stimulates our skin to produce collagen. Collagen is a protein in the skin that breaks down with age and various lifestyle factors. The effect will last for a long time after treatment.

Step 5

In the final step, we perform a laser peel, also known as resurfacing. The laser peel is tailored to the skin type and the issue we are treating. If there are fine lines around the mouth, we will go a little deeper, and if pores are the focus of the treatment, we will not go as deep. After step 5, the skin will be red, slightly tight, and feel like it has been in the sun a little too long.

We often apply a vitamin C serum that may sting for 2-3 minutes and a repairing cream. We always apply sunscreen after laser treatment. In this step, you will need a cooler to relieve any discomfort and pain. Your skin will feel smoother, and its structure will improve. This step has an immediate effect.

What can you expect from the treatment?

You can expect your skin to be dry and tight for a few days after treatment. Many people also experience flaking. Fotona laser treatment is most effective for people under the age of 65, and if you have a lot of excess skin, surgery may be an option. It is important to use a high SPF sunscreen after and before treatment, and to avoid sunbathing as your skin will be extra sensitive.
