Dr. Alexander Vigen

Dr. Alexander Vigen has extensive experience in breast surgery, facial surgery, and body contouring surgery. Dr. Vigen specializes in aesthetic breast surgery such as breast augmentation, breast lift, and breast reduction. He often performs tummy tucks after weight loss or childbirth, and is interested in modern methods of liposuction and fat grafting. In addition, he has developed a particular interest in eyelid surgery and facelifts.

Dr. Vigen has worked as a plastic surgeon since 2011, spending his first few years working mainly with general plastic surgery and body contouring surgery. Since 2016, he has worked as a senior consultant with a special interest in Breast, facial, and body contouring surgery.

Dr. Vigen is a member of ISAPS - International Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery and regularly attends courses and conferences around the world. He has gained international experience through stays with many well-known plastic surgeons abroad.

Dr. Alexander Vigen is interested in finding solutions that cross the boundaries between plastic surgery and cosmetic medicine and how to combine different types of surgical and non-surgical procedures to achieve the best possible results for patients. Some patients want one thing and others want another, and it is important to have a high level of expertise in both fields in order to find the best solution for each individual. In some cases, he will recommend non-surgical methods, laser treatments, and so-called minimally invasive procedures and combine these to achieve the best results, while in other cases, surgery will be the best solution.

Dr. Vigen is Restylane certified and has participated in several annual international conferences over the past 10 years. He has also been a speaker at several international conferences on plastic surgery.

Dr. Vigen graduated as a doctor from NTNU, obtained his PhD from NTNU, and worked in the Plastic Surgery Department at Telemark Hospital from 2011 to 2015, in the Plastic Surgery Department at Haukeland University Hospital from 2015 to 2017, and as a senior physician since 2016 at Ahus and several private clinics.
